Pakistan will obtain its first consignment of the Indian-manufactured Oxford AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine through mid-March.
The Indian website reports that Pakistan will receive 16 million free doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine provided by the Indian Serum Center of the GAVI vaccine.
Pakistan is expected to get the remaining doses by June.
“The vaccine association, Gavi, is helping almost half of the world’s children get vaccinated against this deadly and debilitating disease.”

India became offering the COVID-19 vaccines to 65 countries. While many overseas international locations have acquired the vaccine on a supply basis, others have paid for the vaccine doses.
On March 7 it was reported that the hunt for the Covid-19 vaccine for people over 60 will begin on March 10 (today).
“The vaccination of people 60 years and older might be beginning from Wednesday the 10th of March. Vaccinations might be executed in reverse order by age. This means the oldest man or woman who has registered might be vaccinated first,” Head of National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) Asad Umar stated in a tweet.
