On Monday, according to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of COVID-19 cases in Africa has reached 3,897,390.
At least 108,712 people passed away as a result of coronavirus-related complications and 3,476,050 patients were recovered.
South Africa has the highest number of infected people with 1.8 million, followed by North Africa with 1.2 million, East Africa with 405,800, West Africa with 389,800 and Central Africa with 104,000.

At a minimum 56,400 people died in Southern Africa, 32,900 in North Africa, 7, 600 in East Africa, 5,000 in West Africa, and 1,800 in Central Africa.
Of the five regions on the continent, South Africa has the highest recovery rate at 1.7 million.
One million is found in North Africa, 352,200 in West Africa, 318,200 in East Africa and 88,300 in Central Africa.
