The government of Pakistan on Wednesday announced a reduction in passport fees, an official notification issued in this regard said [Islamabad]

According to a statement issued by the Immigration Bureau and the Directorate General of Passports, a total of 36 pages of passports issued for 5 years will cost Rs3,000, and emergency services will be charged Rs5,000.

For a passport with a validity of 5 years containing 72 pages, the fee is set at Rs5,500 and emergency services are charged Rs9,000.

A passport with a validity of five years with 100 pages will now cost Rs6,000, while an urgent fee for the same passport is set at Rs12,000.

The notice further stated that passports with a validity of 10 years, totaling 36 pages, will cost Rs4,500, while urgent ones will be issued for Rs.7,500.

In this regard, a valid 10-year passport with a total of 72 pages will cost Rs8,250, while the emergency fee for the same service will be Rs13,500.

For passports with a validity of 10 years, comprising 100 pages, the normal fee is set at Rs9,000, and an emergency service fee for the same will be Rs18,000.

The notification said that the revised fees will be applicable from February 17, 2021.
