China has donated Covid-19 vaccines to Pakistani troops, a press conference said in a statement on Monday.

In an explanation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) had given vaccines, doing Pakistan’s army the first overseas army to obtain vaccination aid in Beijing.

“However, maintaining with the Pakistan armed forces’ conventional spirit of ‘kingdom comes first, continually and each time’ it’s been determined to make a contribution the entire donation to the countrywide vaccination drive [for] frontline healthcare employees throughout Pakistan who’re the actual heroes preventing towards the pandemic and saving valuable lives,” the assertion said.

“The Pakistani military would like to express our deepest gratitude to the PLA and the People’s Republic of China for this enormous donation at some point of the test period,” the assertion said.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Planning, Development and Special Campaigns Asad Umar has praised the military leadership’s decision to provide vaccines, adding that this is consistent with the government’s decision to give healthcare workers a top priority.

Last week, vaccination drives in opposition to the radical coronavirus commenced concurrently in all federating devices of the country, days after 500,000 doses of vaccine arrived in Islamabad as a gift from China.
